A Late Happy New Year, Life, and Encouragement!

Hey!

It has been quite the minute since I've last blogged. I can't lie and say that I have not thought about it, but a lot has been going on....on top of my lack of the needed "push" to blog. We are now in the second month of 2013! The year already seems to be zooming by. That never ceases to amaze me. I can remember being a kid and hearing older people talk about how time flies. The older I become, I realize they were not lying! I love and appreciate every day that God has blessed me with and my looking @ how time flies is a mere reflection of my gratitude for the gift of life.

So much has occurred this year already. I've gone through many transitions and received many revelations. One of the most important things that has continuously been confirmed this year is that we must seek and pursue our purpose. I'm sure many people hear the idea of purpose and destiny being thrown around so often that it has become cliche, but I can assure you that this is one of the most profound things that we can focus our attention on....in life! As crazy as this gigantic world may seem, we were all born with many gifts and talents. These gifts are God-given, and are meant to be offered as a blessing to God,others,as well as ourselves. It saddens me when I think of the millions of people that are living their day to day lives not doing what they were created for.

1 Peter 4:10

New International Version (NIV)
10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

Now let me clear up, your purpose may not be some world famous, attention-getting thing that gets recognition from around the world. Fame is not what it is all about. If your walking in purpose grants you recognition, that fine, but make sure ALL glory goes to GOD(don't allow your GOD-given abilities cause you to turn your back on the very one who blessed you with them). You may have been created to be a blessing to a small circle, but when you're doing whatever it is that you're meant to do, there is no greater feeling.

I'm still living and learning, but more and more each day I can sense the clarity in knowing God's will for my life. Prayer is the most crucial thing in this process; as we make our thoughts and requests known to God, he reveals his desire for our lives....as long as we have a willing heart and open ears to hear and  receive him. I'm grateful that I don't have to figure everything out on my own. That would be a complete and total mess! No matter how grounded, intelligent, creative or whatever I may be, I'll never be able to see the big picture....God does. As I submit my will to his, I will continue to pray and seek his direction and love.

You should do the same :-)

Be blessed and beautiful,

Dany
